ALOATEC was selected by BOUYGUES BVB to monitor the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Our solution, DETECT FIRE, incorporates 12 high-resolution thermal cameras for early fire detection.
These cameras will be specifically positioned under the new containment arch built by BOUYGUES & VINCI, with installation starting in November 2016.
We designed stainless steel housings with lead protection during July and August 2016. The first elements, comprising the caissons and cameras, will be delivered from the end of September 2016 for installation under the arch. When the arch is moved in November, our cameras will be positioned above the power station. The final commissioning of our solution is scheduled for March 2017.
